2. Services offered
Bikee offers rental services for electric bikes and e-Jetboards, guided E-bike tours and other related services. The specific details of each service are available on our website and may be updated from time to time.
3. Participants’ responsibility
3.1. The participant understands that bike tours require basic knowledge of cycling and local traffic rules in Portugal.
3.2. Cycling experience is a must. Our guides may, at any time, advise or prevent participants from taking part in the tour if they do not have sufficient experience, in the interests of everyone’s safety.
3.3. The participant acknowledges that cycling can be dangerous and takes part at their own risk.
3.4. To the extent permitted by law, Bikee shall not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses resulting from participation in the activities.
3.5. The participant must comply with all applicable laws and indemnify Bikee against any claim or demand arising from a violation or alleged violation of any law.
4. Using Electric Surfboards and Bicycles
4.1. The e-bikes supplied by Bikee must be used in accordance with the instructions provided. The user is responsible for the equipment during the rental period and must return it in the same condition in which it was received.
4.2. Any damage or loss will be charged to the user.
4.3. The use of a helmet is highly recommended for all users. Bikee is not responsible for accidents or injuries resulting from the use of the equipment.
5. Guided Tours and Material Rental
5.1. The guided tours are led by experienced and certified guides. Participants must follow the instructions of the guides at all times.
5.2. Bikee is not responsible for accidents or incidents during the tours. Participants must follow the recommended routes and respect the traffic rules.
5.3. Customers can rent and take the bike with them, but they must sign a terms and responsibilities contract and provide their credit card details.
5.4 Bicycle rental does not include insurance, except when used on tours organized by Bikee.
5.5 The rental of electric surfboards is always accompanied by a guide or instructor, and the law does not allow the rental of surfboards or kayaks without their presence.
6. Cancellation policies
6.1. Participants can cancel their activity. If the cancellation occurs 48 hours or more before the start of the activity, a full refund will be provided. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the start of the activity will not be refunded.
7. Punctuality
Participants must be at the agreed meeting point 10 minutes before the start of the tour. We can’t wait more than 10 minutes for late customers and there will be no refunds for participants who don’t show up on time.
8. Underage participants
Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, who assumes full responsibility for the minor, including damage caused and infractions committed.
9. Image usage
The participant grants Bikee permission to use photographs, videos and other records of their participation in the events for legitimate purposes, without remuneration.
10. Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the consumer can turn to a Consumer Dispute Resolution Body. Bikee is a member of the Lisbon Consumer Conflict Arbitration Center. More information can be found on the Consumer Portal www.consumidor.pt.
11. Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute arising from the use of our services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
